About This Spot

Stepping into Little Goat Coffee Roasting Co. feels like uncovering a quiet gem nestled just off the main streets of Newark. This cozy coffee shop invites you to slow down for a moment amidst its warm, inviting atmosphere, where friendly greetings are as much a part of the ritual as the carefully brewed drinks. The space hums with an easygoing energy—it’s vibrant yet intimate, where a hint of funkiness blends naturally with laid-back comfort.

The pace here encourages connection, whether you’re tucked into a soft chair, perched at a window barstool, or carrying a carefully crafted latte out the door. And while the seating is limited inside, there’s a thoughtful balance between the inside nook and a sunny outdoor porch that welcomes you to savor your coffee when the weather is right. It’s the kind of place where familiar faces might nod in recognition and first timers quickly feel like they’ve found a neighborhood spot worth returning to.

The drinks feel thoughtfully curated—there’s an evident love for the craft, from nuanced espresso blends to unexpected twists like spiced lattes or floral teas that linger gently on the palate. The house-roasted beans offer a flavorful journey, each cup telling a story of meticulous attention and genuine expertise. This is a stop for those who appreciate the true character of coffee beyond mainstream offerings, where a simple cortado or a vanilla iced latte becomes a quiet indulgence.

More than just coffee, the menu’s playful and unique touches, like a lavender-infused butterfly pea flower beverage or a rich peanut butter cup hot cocoa, invite curiosity and momentary delight. Pairing these drinks with a thoughtfully baked treat makes Little Goat a cozy haven, whether you’re here to catch up with friends, dive into a book, or simply watch the day unfold.

Small and unpretentious, Little Goat feels rooted in community and appreciation for quality—where every detail, from the roasted beans to the smiles behind the counter, contributes to a genuine experience that lingers long after the last sip.

A LOVELY little independent coffee shop right in the heart of Newark! This place is so cute, cozy and has a funky vibe that I really appreciate. The baristas are super kind and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. There is limited seating inside so be willing/prepared to grab and go if you visit during peak hours. Otherwise, they offer a couch, cozy chairs and even a barstool/study area for folks to sit and work.

Wow! The coffee is fantastic. The staff are delightful and very friendly. Welcoming atmosphere. Limited seating inside nice deck for enjoying coffee when weather permits. Paid parking is available but not plentiful plan to walk from a city parking lot.

I got a tulsi rose chai tea that was so good I immediately purchased the same loose leaf tea to bring home with me. What a unique, warming, cozy, fragrant tea. Love it! I also got an autumn spice latte that was perfectly flavored. Friendly, helpful staff. Prices weren't outrageous. Quality drinks. The atmosphere was too loud for working and the available seating (it was rather busy) wasn't comfy, so I didn't stay long.

If you love coffee, and KNOW how coffee tastes like(like the real real coffee), then you should visit. Soo underrated! Far !faaaar! better than DD, Starbucks(actually, not even comparable) and any other usual cafe. The people who started this business, know Coffee(I mean the real kind!) ! Highly recommended not just for coffee. Even the treats they sell are made with 100% butter, not that they advertised, but I tasted Scone and Pecan slider and it's too rich ! Highly recommend, will definitely visit again !

Awesome small coffee shop! Awesomely friendly staff! Drove 5 hours just to try on a recommendation. Had their cappuccino with homemade vanilla syrup and an iced latte with homemade “fruit loop” syrup… both incredible, and they had these delicious peach pastries that went great with everything. Outdoor porch was nice to sit at and enjoy. 10/10 would try again

I love this place! The space in itself is so cozy and quaint. It feels like a coffee shop in the Rocky Mountains. You are transported from Delaware for a moment. Their coffee is fantastic. The staff are cool and kind. They have pastries from their partner restaurant: Peach Blossom Eatery. Not too much seating if you plan to stay, but they have a nice porch area for the warmer months. If you like quality coffee, this place is a must visit.

This is some of the best coffee I have ever had! My favorite is the medium roast Honduras. We bought a large bag and have been drinking it at home every day this week and I will never buy another coffee! Such great flavor.

This cafe is a gem in the UD area and I would come nearly weekly for their coffee and tea. The pastries are made fresh and are also phenomenal. The interior feels like an antique shop which gives it such a cozy atmosphere.
